A native of Washington, DC, Jessica Tilles is an award-winning publisher and best-selling author of Anything Goes, In My Sisters’ Corner, Apple Tree, Sweet Revenge, Fatal Desire, Unfinished Business, Erogenous Zone: A Sexual Voyage (an anthology), Loving Simone (a 2013 Black Expressions® Book Club Best Seller) and Crossing Sisters, and co-authored an eShort with critically-acclaimed, Essence® bestselling author William Fredrick Cooper, No One Has To Know.
In 2005, Jessica created The Literary Ghostwriter, ghostwriting many novels for aspiring and seasoned authors.
Jessica is the publisher of Xpress Yourself Publishing and the recipient of the 2008 Independent Publisher of the Year given by the coveted African American Literary Awards Show.
In 2013, Jessica joined Raheem DaVaughn’s LoveLife Foundation, a non-profit organization, as the Creative Director.
Listed in in Heather Covington’s Top 100 Literary Divas, Jessica is the the Creative Designer and President of TWA Solutions (formerly The Writer’s Assistant), a small, minority- and woman-owned business providing services to independent publishers and authors and small businesses in the areas of book cover design, interior book design, editing, web design, consulting, self-publishing services, small business solutions, and so much more.
In addition to her many accomplishments, Jessica is a staff writer for Black Men In America, has contributed the article “Third Shift Blues” to Black Romance Magazine, and is the recipient of the Memphis Black Writer’s Guild’sRising Star award, and the Jackson Mississippi Reader’s Clubs’ Outstanding Contributor to Literature award.
Aside from working on several projects and building her businesses, Jessica loves working in her yard and interior designing. She resides in Maryland with her four dogs: Teddy, Piccachu, Chelsea, and Chanel.
